Deep relaxation stimulates the production of natural, stress and tension-relieving neurotransmitters, such as endorphins.

The majority of users report stress relief through deep relaxation, maintaining healthy sleep patterns, improved memory, improved learning skills such as concentration and recall of information, a sense of calm, increased focus, lucid dreaming, and increased physical energy.

Dr. Gray recommends a baseline HRV test to kickoff your BrainTap journey.
The test will provide a baseline to measure improvements. About the BrainTap HRV test...

BrainTap Therapy - HRV Testing

Objective Measurable Feedback
Heart rate variability is literally the variance in time between the beats of your heart. So, if your heart rate is 60 beats per minute, it’s not actually beating once every second. Within that minute there may be 0.9 seconds between two beats, for example, and 1.15 seconds between two others. The greater this variability is, the more “ready” your body is to execute at a high level.
When you have high heart rate variability, it means that your body is responsive to both sets of inputs (parasympathetic and sympathetic). This is a sign that your nervous system is balanced and that your body is very capable of adapting to its environment and performing at its best.

However, if you have low HRV this indicates your body is working hard for some other reason (maybe you’re fatigued, dehydrated, stressed, or sick and need to recover) which leaves fewer resources available to dedicate towards exercising, competing, working or just doing your everyday chores around the house.

The widespread adaptation of information technology is now regarded as a pathway to improving health care. Achieving these aims requires a fresh approach to understanding where your health baseline is at this moment. By incorporating the data measured by the BrainTap HRV you will now be able to track the progress of your care and see the value of the new habits and patterns you have been incorporating into your daily life.

The BrainTap HRV can help identify underlying health issues. So, instead of treating the symptoms you will now be working on the cause of the imbalance. Knowing where your stress levels are and using the strategies you will be provided as a solution will allow you to be more of an active participant in your own care.
Unlike other heart rate variability technologies, the BrainTap HRV breaks down the measurement of time intervals between heart beats into very specific frequency bandwidths which correspond to the regulatory functions of the body. As a result, in just 4-5 minutes, the BrainTap HRV will also display an accurate measure of:

  • Cardiovascular Adaptation
  • Autonomic Nervous System Regulation
  • Neuro-Hormonal Psycho-Emotional Balance

Plus – it can show you if you’re prematurely aging or reversing the process.

Quick 5-Minute Baseline Health Test

The BrainTap HRV has been designed to help you understand those unseen influences that might be contributing to the health challenges you are currently facing. BrainTap HRV will provide a window into all the body’s important systems, their interconnectivity and how they are functioning.

General Questions

BrainTap HRV (Heart Rate Variability) Testing is a non-invasive assessment that measures the balance and efficiency of your nervous system, helping evaluate stress levels, recovery capacity, and overall well-being.
HRV testing analyzes the variations in time between heartbeats, which reflects how well your autonomic nervous system (ANS) is functioning. It provides insights into stress resilience, relaxation response, and cardiovascular health.
HRV is a key indicator of overall health, stress resilience, and nervous system balance. Higher HRV generally means better recovery, adaptability, and well-being, while lower HRV can indicate stress, fatigue, or imbalance.
It provides valuable insights into your stress levels, nervous system health, sleep quality, recovery ability, and even your body’s response to therapies or lifestyle changes.

Sessions & Experience

The test involves wearing a sensor that monitors your heart rate for a short period while you relax. The data is then analyzed to assess your stress response, recovery ability, and nervous system balance.
The test itself takes about 5-10 minutes, and the results are reviewed with you shortly after.
No, HRV testing is completely painless and non-invasive. It simply involves wearing a sensor and relaxing for a few minutes.
It depends on your goals. Some people do it monthly to track progress, while others use it regularly to monitor how their body responds to stress, lifestyle changes, or therapies.

Health & Recovery Benefits

Yes! HRV testing helps identify how well your body is handling stress and can guide you in making changes to improve relaxation, recovery, and resilience.
BrainTap sessions use light, sound, and guided relaxation to help train your brain for better stress management and nervous system balance. HRV testing can track your progress and show improvements in your nervous system function over time.
